Christmas Veranda Decorating Competition

It was magical to see decorations and lights shining on so many verandas this year at Beauty Point Retirement Resort. Adding to the Christmas cheer was a Christmas Veranda Decorating Competition with the prize for the winner – a Free Dinner for Two Including Drinks at the resort’s popular restaurant.

To enter the competition, residents only had to pick up a number from reception and then decorate their veranda to their hearts content. Everyone at the resort was able to vote for their favourite veranda by putting their vote in to reception before the 20^th December.

The lucky winner, announced at 4.00pm on Friday 20^th December was Sue & Don Winkley.

Here are some of the verandas in the Christmas Decorating Competition. These and all the other decorations have lifted up everyone’s spirits and spread the Christmas cheer around the village. So thanks to everyone who took part – those who decorated – and those who voted!
